Position: Sonographer

Objective:
The Sonographer performs limited obstetric ultrasound exams in a pregnancy center, providing education and referrals to support comprehensive client care.

Reports To:
Nurse Manager and Client Services Director

Required Qualifications:

  1. Faith and Commitment: A committed Christian with a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, passionate about evangelism and pro-life advocacy.
  2. Pro-Life Dedication: Strong commitment to the pro-life position, biblical marriage, and sexual purity. Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism.
  3. ACPC Policy Alignment: Must uphold ACPC’s Statement of Faith and Statement of Principle. Resolve conflicts in accordance with ACPC policies.
  4. Communication & Counseling Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Capable of counseling clients, volunteers, and staff.
  5. Leadership: Provide spiritual leadership and support to staff and volunteers, prioritizing their needs over schedules. Able to delegate and work with minimal supervision.
  6. Education: RN, RDMS, PA, or NP with an accredited associate's or bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Two years of experience in an Ob/Gyn setting.
  2. Two years of experience in a pregnancy center or equivalent volunteer work.
  3. Current certification in Sonography - Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound.

Essential Functions / Duties:

Patient Care:

  • Review patient intake forms and medical consent.
  • Collect medical history and provide instructions for services.
  • Perform pregnancy tests, limited obstetric sonograms, and STI screenings, while maintaining compassionate communication.
  • Offer counseling, education, and referrals when clinic advocates are unavailable.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, follow-up, and adherence to physician’s orders.

Professional Development:

  • Maintain licensure, certifications, and comply with continuing education requirements.
  • Attend relevant training, workshops, and conferences to stay updated in Sonography and women’s health.

Public Relations:

  • Represent the clinic in the community as delegated by the Executive Director.
  • Participate in medical conferences for professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $30.00 per hour, flexible work week (32 hours per week).
